Pastor John P. Bellamy, III was born on January 23, 1985 in Chicago, IL. He is the third child born to Bishop Michael Bellamy and Lady Gwendolyn Bellamy. His loving wife, Lady Ziporah, affectionately known as Lady Z, was born on November 4, 1974 in Maywood, Illinois. She is the second child of fourteen born to Elder Chester and the late Missionary Monica Lamar. Pastor John and Lady Z both were reared in the Apostolic Faith since birth. They were both baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at a young age and received the gift of the Holy Ghost later in adulthood.
Pastor John has been happily married to his beautiful wife since September 5, 2015. They met while crossing paths on a ministry assignment. From that assignment, Pastor John knew she was the one. They have three intelligent and talented children: Tavaris, Tyrone (Tee), and Trenae (Nae). The Lord has also favored them with one brilliant grandchild, Chase.
Since childhood, Pastor John knew that he would be called by God to pastor. He believes in Holiness. He is Apostolic to the core. He has a passion for teaching and preaching the word of God. With the help of the Lord, he intends to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the Saints.
For many years, even before being saved, Pastor John had the privilege and honor of serving and assisting his father as he ministered throughout the state of Illinois and around the country.
Pastor John has a passion and heart for the young people and evangelism. He served as Youth President for many years and was the director of Christ Temple Church-Maywood’s Outreach/Evangelism Ministry, called B.R.I.D.G.E.
Lady Z served closely with Lady Gwen in the Women’s Ministry. With great enthusiasm, Lady Z focused and led a program called Phases, which helped women in need of essentials. Lady Z has a Master’s degree in Social Work. Her willingness to serve those in need of mental health support led her to study this area of specialty.
Lady Z aims to acquire a clinical license in social work which will lead her to counseling those dealing with challenges with mental health, trauma, grief, etc. Her favored demographic is teens and young adults. She intends to utilize her expertise in the mental health field of social work to not only minister in a natural way but in a spiritual way for the church. Her heart’s desire is to spread the good news of Jesus’ love and God’s power to anyone she crosses paths with.
In 2020, Bishop Michael Bellamy appointed Pastor John P. Bellamy, III to the role of Assistant Pastor. On August 13, 2023, Pastor John was appointed Associate Pastor. Pastor John’s aim and purpose is to serve his pastor and God’s people with the spirit of humility and love. Chiefly and above all, he is focused on continuing steadfastly in the apostles doctrine in fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers.
